Undergraduate Credit Courses by Overseas Experts Program

The 2019 XDU International Entrepreneurship & Innovation Week (IEIW) will be held from July 1st to July 15th, 2019. As part of it, the Undergraduate Credit Courses by Overseas Experts Program aims to exploit oversea quality education resources to improve the teaching quality of undergraduate education, cultivate excellent talents of international competence, and upgrade the international development of the faculty.

This program invites oversea experts to teach in English the credit courses specified in Undergraduate CultivationPrograms of XDU. It also introduces the undergraduate quality courses of advantage disciplines in international universities and scientific research institutes, which serve as elective courses in undergraduate programs at XDU. The experts recruited in this program should be a teacher employed at internationally renowned universities or research institutes with high-level academic and teaching abilities and rich instruction experience, having taught related courses in their universities or institutes and being associate professors or above.

The course should be open to undergraduates of related majors in XDU, designed with reasonable difficulty for students to master a solid and broad basic theoretical knowledge, or to reflect the cutting-edge development of disciplines and have an appropriatecoverage on subjects, satisfy the demand of undergraduate education in related majors. In principle, the total number of lecture hours per course should be 16 to 32 hours (1 to 2 credits).

Notes:

1. The course should adopt foreign excellent English original textbooks or literature as main textbook; utilize advanced multimedia teaching methods and English courseware; use English as the medium to teach students in class and interact with them, assign and remark on homework, make out questions in exams and require them to answer questions in English.

2. The coursewill be arranged during the IEIW (the last 2 weeks of the spring semester) to ensure high quality teaching.

3. The payment for oversea experts is 1,600RMB per class hour(after tax).

4. The program also provides financial support including international flights, inter-city transportation, accommodation, etc., which will be funded according to our university standard.
