This course provides a thorough review of fundamental concepts of biosensing systems and lab-on-a-chip bio-micro-electro-mechanical systems (Bio-MEMS), principles of common detection methods, and modern applications of biosensors. Students will obtain a detailed understanding of cutting-edge biosensing techniques, the instrumentation used and the application space. Students also will develop skills in using current literature as a source of knowledge.
