教师简介：西尾佳文（Yoshifumi Nishio）教授于1993年加入日本德岛德岛大学电气与电子工程系。他分别于1988年、1990年和1993年在日本横滨庆应义大学获得了电机工程学士、硕士学位和博士学位。他的研究兴趣是非线性电路工程。他在2012年至2017年期间担任IEEE 电路与系统协会理事会理事，目前是IEEE电路与系统协会区域活动和会员资格副主席（自2018年起）。他目前担任IEICE NOLTA的秘书（自2009年起）和IEEE电路与系统协会通讯（自2007年起）、IEEE汇刊电路与系统II：快速摘要（自2016年起）、分叉与混沌杂志（2015年起）等国际期刊的副主编。

Professor Yoshifumi Nishio joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Tokushima University, Tokushima Japan in 1993. He received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Keio University, Yokohama Japan, in 1988, 1990, and 1993, respectively. His research interests are in the areas of nonlinear circuits engineering. He a member of the IEEE CAS Society Board of Governors during 2012-2017, and is currently the Vice President on Regional Activities and Membership of the IEEE CAS Society (from 2018). He is currently serving as a Secretary for the NOLTA, IEICE (from 2009) and an Associate Editor for the IEEE CAS Society Newsletter (from 2007), the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems--II: Express Briefs (from 2016) and International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos (from 2015). He is also a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications.

This course will introduce the basics of artificial neural networks. The attendee will learn about the basics of various architectures, applications, and programming skills of artificial neural networks.
